Advanced Acupuncture for Pain, Addiction, and Mental Health
 

This seminar is a two-day advanced acupuncture program offering a comparative study of Western and Eastern methodologies, auricular therapy, and acupuncture protocols for recognizing and treating Pain and Addiction, Anxiety, Depression, Fibromyalgia, PTSD, and specific topics. Participants will gain a better understanding of how acupuncture can provide a side-effect-free approach by addressing root causes rather than merely alleviating symptoms.   Course highlights include understanding and defining characteristics of pain, addiction, anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia and PTSD, review of ear anatomy, history of auricular therapy, introduction to Battlefield Acupuncture and NADA protocol. Clinical time with hands on demonstrations and practice of learned auricular techniques.

Brief Bio : Andria D'Amato, DC, DABCA, FIAMA has an extensive education background including a Doctor of Chiropractic from Logan College in 2009, acupuncture internship in Beijing, China, 2012 and a fellowship in the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. She is ABCA and NBCE acupuncture board certified and an Ohio State licensed Chiropractic physician and Acupuncture provider with experience in training and teaching of colleagues, medical peer review, and the management of complex cases requiring a multidisciplinary team approach. Diplomate of American Board of Chiropractic Acupuncture in good standing since 2011. Professional leadership as the Council of Chiropractic Acupuncture, Vice President and American Board of Chiropractic Acupuncture, Past President. A diverse and accomplished professional journey, emphasizing expertise in chiropractic and acupuncture, commitment to continuing education, leadership in professional organizations, safe practice standards and a passion for holistic wellness. Residing in Akron, Ohio and currently working at the Cleveland VA Medical Center and Red Lotus Services.
