50 HOURS TOTAL
Logan University Campus
You must complete Level I to take Level II : You may take level I and not take level II, but you can not take level II if you have not taken level I
This 50-hour, in-depth continuing education program provides the Doctor of Chiropractic with comprehensive training in the theory, safety, and clinical application of dry needling. The course integrates didactic instruction with extensive supervised, hands-on training to ensure clinical competency. Emphasis is placed on detailed regional anatomy, neurophysiological mechanisms, clinical decision-making, patient selection, and risk management.
Participants will receive formal instruction in proper safety protocols, including aseptic technique, infection control, prevention of adverse events, and appropriate handling and disposal of single-use needles. Evidence-informed treatment strategies are presented for common neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions. Upon completion, participants will demonstrate the ability to safely, ethically, and effectively incorporate dry needling into chiropractic practice as part of a comprehensive, patient-centered treatment plan.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the neurophysiological mechanisms and clinical rationale for the use of dry needling in the management of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular pain conditions.
- Demonstrate safe and effective dry needling techniques using accurate anatomical landmarks while adhering to established safety and infection control protocols.
- Identify and implement proper safety procedures, including aseptic technique, prevention and management of adverse events, and compliance with OSHA and professional standards.
- Properly handle, store, and dispose of single-use dry needling needles in accordance with sharps safety guidelines, OSHA regulations, and applicable state and local requirements.
- Integrate dry needling into a comprehensive chiropractic treatment plan, including patient education, informed consent, documentation, and clinical decision-making for common conditions such as low back pain, headaches, shoulder dysfunction, and myofascial pain syndromes.
To take this program you must be licensed Doctor of Chiropractic or a student in an accredited DC program.

LEVEL I SEMINAR DESCRIPTION
This clinical training module provides a structured and supportive introduction to dry needling for clinicians and advanced chiropractic students seeking to build confidence, clarity, and sound clinical judgment. The focus is not only on how to perform dry needling techniques, but on understanding when, why, and how dry needling fits appropriately within patient care.
Participants develop a practical understanding of neurophysiological mechanisms, myofascial pain patterns, and biomechanical contributors to common musculoskeletal conditions. Strong emphasis is placed on anatomical accuracy, palpation skill development, risk management, and patient communication so dry needling is applied with intention rather than hesitation.
Through clear instruction and guided hands-on training, participants learn foundational dry needling techniques while gaining insight into how dry needling integrates with manual therapy, movement, and patient education. This module is designed to establish a strong clinical base that supports safe application now and continued growth as clinical experience develops.
Participants are responsible for practicing within their individual state licensure and scope of practice requirements.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

LEVEL II SEMINAR DESCRIPTION
This advanced clinical training module builds upon the foundations established in Level I and focuses on applying dry needling across more complex and varied clinical presentations. Emphasis is placed on refining clinical decision-making, understanding regional and global treatment strategies, and selecting techniques based on patient presentation rather than symptom location alone.
Participants explore advanced myofascial and neuromuscular patterns, region-specific applications for the spine and extremities, and considerations related to neural involvement. The course introduces principles of electrical dry needling, including appropriate parameters, clinical indications, and safety considerations, with attention to patient comfort and response.
Through extensive supervised hands-on training, case-based discussion, and clinical integration exercises, participants learn to apply dry needling with greater consistency and efficiency in real-world settings. This module supports the development of confidence, adaptability, and professionalism as clinicians progress toward more independent clinical practice.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
