This 2 hour course will begin with reviewing the basics of breath, but quickly dive into how to appropriately progress a rehabilitative at-home program during pregnancy and postpartum. Learn how to be creative with your recommendations, while reviewing literature reinforcing why manipulation should be followed by loaded rehabilitation. 
 
Course Objectives:
1. Understand core anatomy and the importance of breathwork during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
2. Identify when certain rehabilitative exercises should be prescribed for low back pain or sciatic symptoms. 
3. Learn how and when it is appropriate to incorporate rehabilitative exercises for pelvic girdle pain. 
4. Understand when strengthening or mobility is required for hip pain during pregnancy and the postpartum period. 
5. Learn how to teach your patients how to prepare for birth.

Brief Bio : Dr. Sarah Tirimacco was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She graduated with honors from The University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic from New York College of Chiropractic. As co-owner of Pinnacle Hill Chiropractic, she provides quality chiropractic and wellness care, including pregnant and postpartum patients, athletes, and their families in the Rochester community. She is specialty trained as a pregnancy chiropractor and has extensive training in postpartum care.
